Schroth cure

The Schroth Cure is a natural healing method developed by Johann Schroth in the 19th century. The main aim of this cure is to detoxify the body in order to promote self-healing powers. In contrast to other fasting cures, which often only focus on diet and regular fluid intake, this holistic concept also integrates compresses and exercise.

1. SCHROTH’S
DIET

The Schroth diet is the centrepiece of the Schroth Cure. It is based on the principles of therapeutic fasting. The diet is low in calories, salt-free and fat-free. It consists mainly of plant-based, low-irritant foods such as cooked fruit, vegetables, rice, pearl barley, semolina and herbs. This type of diet is designed to relieve the digestive tract and detoxify the body from the inside out. The aim is to calm the metabolism and support the drainage of the body.

2. SCHROTH’S
DETOX PACK

In the morning, warm, moist compresses are applied to the body to stimulate blood circulation and make the body sweat in order to support the elimination of harmful substances through the skin. These wraps also stimulate the metabolism and contribute to relaxation.

3. SCHROTH’SCHE
DRINKING REGULATION

On so-called dry days, little fluid is consumed (often only teas), while on wet days the fluid intake is significantly increased. This alternation of hydration and dehydration is intended to stimulate the body to eliminate toxins more efficiently and boost the metabolism.

4. ALTERNATION OF
REST AND MOVEMENT

Light physical activities such as walks, hikes or special movement exercises play an important role and are alternately combined with periods of rest, which can also be yoga or meditation. This balance between activity and relaxation is intended to strengthen the body and harmoniously support the detoxification process.
